LET'S DO IT RIGHT

Dear Friends,

I can't believe it is so close to the election. I am determined to do all I can as a Councilperson to make Lexington all it can be.

I will work for careful use of our resources, consistent enforcement of the ordinances, protect and reclaim the neighborhoods, and protect our downtown with a plan that is in ordinance.

A safe, bike/pedestrian friendly community, and sensible public transportation are essential for a thriving community. Protecting our rural land and responsible in-fill is an important goal. Art and entertainment for people of all ages and interests and a community that respects and appreciates all points of view are also a must. We must work together to move forward.

I have been doing a lot of research on how to get these things done. I have been working with city employees to find out what barriers they face in getting their job done. Common sense solutions such as cross training employees are the kinds of things that we can accomplish.

We all deserve our Government to work for us. Lexington can't afford to lose anymore. Let's do it right!
